Instructions for Use:

1. Prepare the Media: Dispense 140-160 grams of your prepared fruit fly culture media into a 32 fl. oz. thin-walled deli cup.
2. Insert the Mesh: Place the 3D mesh insert into the cup. Apply gentle, even pressure to the top knob, guiding the insert down until it touches the bottom of the container.
   • For Thicker Media: If you are using a denser media, you may need to apply pressure at various angles to ensure it settles evenly. We also recommend adding 1-2 tablespoons (5-10 mL) of distilled water to maintain optimal humidity.
3. Introduce Flies: Add your fruit flies to the prepared culture.
4. Seal the Container: Secure the cup with a compatible vented lid.

Compatible Products:

• Deli Cups: Standard 32 fl. oz. thin-walled LDPE containers. Please note these inserts may not be compatible with thick-walled containers.
• Vented Lids: Fabric-lined lids designed for our 32 fl. oz. deli cups. These lids feature our Moisture Retention Labels to ensure high humidity levels during the critical early stages of culture development.
